3rd Shift Maintenance Technician Qualdoc Richmond, VA 23226 Job Title: 3rd Shift Maintenance Technician Location: Richmond, VA Shift: 3rd Shift Employment Type: Contract to Hire Pay Rate: Up to $30.00/Hour (Depending on Experience) Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join a fast-paced manufacturing environment on 3rd shift. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with a variety of industrial machinery and systems, as well as a strong mechanical and electrical background. Key Responsibilities: Maintain and repair large format and flexographic/digital printing equipment (up to 120”) Maintain presses, gluers, folders, all manufacturing machinery, and automated equipment Troubleshoot and maintain components such as cylinders, hydraulics, Corona treaters, PLCs, HMIs, and digital interfaces Service bearings, gears, belts, sprockets, chains, brakes, perforators, accumulators, dancer rolls, and industrial ovens Operate converting equipment and diagnose hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems Perform daily preventative maintenance and maintain maintenance logs Diagnose and replace electrical components such as motors, relays, switches, sensors, and boards Learn operations by running machines to better troubleshoot issues Requirements: Associate degree in mechanical maintenance or trades training equivalent to a full apprenticeship OR 8-10 years of progressively responsible maintenance experience in an industrial setting Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents Proficient with small tools, shop equipment, and electronic testing instruments Capable of operating forklifts and performing hands-on mechanical work Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in environments that may involve heights, noise, or exposure to chemicals Strong problem-solving and communication skills Valid driver’s license required On-call availability as needed Protective Equipment Required: This position requires the use of hearing and eye protection, safety shoes, and welding helmet (as applicable to specific tasks). Work Environment: The role involves working around moving machinery and occasionally in high or confined spaces.
