RESPONSIBLITIES: This position will report directly to the Maintenance Supervisor · Responsible to ensure assigned work area, shop, or ramp is kept clean and free of hazards. · Perform all aviation maintenance in accordance with Federal Aviation Regulations, the highest shop practices and in the interest of safety of flight. · Be familiar with all applicable Federal Aviation Regulations and Company policies. · Assist in the planning, directing, laying out and coordinating activities of their area and other areas to minimize delays and increase production and efficiency. · Responsible for the handling of parts while repair is in progress, which includes the proper tagging and disposition of these components. · Assist in initiating Material Requests for stock and/or material as required. · Keep tools and support equipment in a safe and operational condition and, when using calibrated equipment, ensure the calibration due time has not expired · Utilize personal protection (safety glasses, ear protection, respirator, gloves, etc.) as necessary while conducting daily duties · Submit in writing any suggested change in operational procedures that will enhance safe, cost-effective aircraft maintenance · Responsible for completion of all department internal Company forms, maintenance records documents, work orders, etc · Must provide standard tools and toolbox needed to perform duties. · Tow aircraft. · Other duties as assigned.
