Apprentice CNC Machinist – Baton Rouge EVALUATION HIRE $16+/ Hr. Monday – Thursday 6:30 am – 5 pm Express Employment Professionals, a full-service staffing agency, is currently seeking a reliable and hard-working APPRENTICE CNC MACHINIST looking to start a career in the industry. The fabrication shop that this position is located in is located in East Baton Rouge. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES for Apprentice CNC Machinist: Safely learn to set up, program, adjust, and operate CNC lathes and mills. Assist in setting up and operating CNC machines, including lathes and mills. Learn to read and interpret technical blueprints, schematics, and drawings. Observe and follow safety protocols while maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Conduct quality inspections on finished products using measuring tools. Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve machining issues. Participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance machining skills. Maintain equipment and tools in good working condition. Cleaning up around the shop, and other duties given by supervisors. Skills and Experience REQUIREMENTS: Strong interest in machining and manufacturing processes. Basic understanding of math and geometry. Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
