**Apprentice Robotics Technician**
**Job Description**
The successful candidate will collaborate with the engineering and production teams to ensure consistent process adherence in this critical step. The role involves setting up and troubleshooting proprietary robotics sorting and inspection equipment, and using knowledge of PLCs and HMIs to troubleshoot faults. The candidate will also support the engineering team with the integration of inspection equipment and develop future state technologies to maintain a competitive edge in the industry.
**Responsibilities**
+ Set up and troubleshoot proprietary robotics sorting and inspection equipment.
+ Use understanding of PLCs and HMIs to troubleshoot faults.
+ Support the engineering team with the integration of inspection equipment.
+ Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure consistent process adherence.
+ Develop future state technologies to maintain competitive edge in the industry.
**Essential Skills**
+ 1+ year of experience as a robotics technician or automation technician with trade school in a related field, or 3+ years of on-the-job experience.
+ PLC troubleshooting.
+ Robotics system setup.
+ Understanding of pneumatics and electrical systems.
+ Experience with HMI.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience working for an automotive industry manufacturer.
+ Knowledge of vision applications.
+ Experience with pneumatic actuators, sensors, and drives.

**Work Environment**
The work environment is a very old building that is not climate-controlled, which can get very hot in the summer. Improvements are being made to the building, including new paint and lighting, as well as new robotics systems. The role is in a metals manufacturing environment.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $24.87 – $29.26/hr.
