Apprentice Screen Printer Advanced Impressions 3404 Oakcliff Rd Ste C7, Atlanta, GA 30340 Advanced Impressions is seeking a highly organized and motivated Apprentice Screen Printer to join our team. This role offers a unique opportunity to learn the intricacies of screen printing while providing essential support to our production workflow. The ideal candidate will be a team player with a strong work ethic, capable of balancing delivery management, screen preparation, and hands-on screen printing training. This position will involve approximately 75% production support and 25% screen printing training. Responsibilities: Production Support (75%): Delivery Management: Receive, inspect, and organize incoming deliveries of supplies and materials. Prepare and package completed orders for shipment or delivery. Maintain accurate records of deliveries and inventory. Coordinate with delivery services and suppliers. Screen Preparation: Clean, degrease, and prepare screens for coating. Coat screens with emulsion using a scoop coater. Assist in the exposure and development of screens. Reclaim and clean used screens for reuse. Maintain an organized and efficient screen storage system. Ensure screens are prepared and ready for experienced printers. General Production Support: Assist experienced screen printers with material handling and setup. Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Perform quality checks on printed products. Assist with inventory management and material tracking. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures. Screen Printing Training (25%): Manual Screen Printing: Learn the setup and operation of manual screen printing presses. Practice ink mixing and application techniques. Develop squeegee handling skills. Learn multi-color registration and printing. Assist in quality control checks. Automatic Screen Printing: Learn the operation of automatic screen printing presses. Assist in press setup and maintenance. Observe and learn ink management on automatic presses. Assist in troubleshooting press malfunctions. Screen Making: Observe and participate in advanced screen making techniques. Qualifications: Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively. Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to lift and carry heavy materials. Basic computer skills. A strong interest in screen printing and a willingness to learn. Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic. High school diploma or equivalent.
