We are seeking for individuals eager to begin a career as an automotive technician for full and part time in a Local 701 Union Shop. Join a growing team in a high traffic shop. Job Responsibilities: Perform thorough multipoint inspections Perform work specified on maintenance and repair orders with efficiency in accordance with dealership and/or General Motors standards Preform lube, oil and filter changes, tire rotations and fluid top-off Tire rotations as well as repairing, mounting and balancing Explain recommendations in a non-technical manner to service advisors and customers Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in training sessions in order to advance career and stay abreast with rapidly changing technology. Use power tools, machine tools, and common hand tools to perform various tasks Job Requirements: General knowledge of automobiles Hold a valid driver’s license Basic computer skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Experience with automatic Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certifications are not required Maintain current factory training Hold a valid driver’s license Team oriented, flexible, and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service Ability to lift 50 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods of time
