As a Medical Assistant, you will have the opportunity to: Maintain and update patient medical records, including vitalsigns, treatments, and medications, and review immunizationrecords. Prepare for patient visits by reviewing files, ensuringnecessary reports are available, and collaborating with Providersfor efficient scheduling and continuity of care Prepare and maintain exam rooms, explain procedures topatients, provide education and coaching, respond to patientquestions and concerns, and assist physicians during exams andprocedures Collect and prepare lab specimens, administer medication, andperform other assigned clinical responsibilities Qualifications: Minimum high school diploma or GED Completion of either an accredited medical assisting programfrom CAAHEP or ABHES (720 training hours, including 160-hourexternship), approved apprentice program, 720 hours of collegeeducation, equivalent military training, or current MA oreligibility for certification One year’s experience as a CMA is preferred CPR certification National credential from AAMA, AMT, NHA, or NCCT within 90 daysof hire Bilingual (English/Spanish) required at a level 10 Medical knowledge for understanding theories, reasons, andtechnical aspects of medicine Strong people skills to handle diverse personalities,backgrounds, and situations Excellent multitasking ability to manage variedworkloads Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Epic, and EMR Our mission celebrates diversity.
