The Apprentice enrolled in the Commercial Inside Wireman Apprenticeship Program works under the direct supervision of a journeyperson electrician installing electrical distribution centers, panel boards, sub panels, conduit systems, motor controls, lighting, fire alarms, and temporary wiring in commercial buildings.
Qualifications
- Applicants must be at least 18 years old to apply. Proof required with the submittal of application
- Applicants must possess a High School Diploma or General Education Certificate (GED). Proof required with the submittal of application.

All applicants that meet the application requirements are required to successfully pass the following:
- Color Identification Test
- For the safety of yourself and others, it is necessary to ensure that you can correctly identify colors.
- Basic Skills Test
- Measurement
- Reading
- Arithmetic
- Multi-Craft Aptitude Test
- Oral Interview
- Prior to being scheduled for an interview, you should make sure that this trade is for you. If you aren’t 100% sure that this is something that you will be committed to for at least 3-5 years (depending on the program you choose), there is no way for the interviewers to know either.
