Job Description: CT Technologist Apprentice at Corewell Health summary: The CTTechnologist Apprentice at Corewell Health Dearborn Hospital is a16-week paid program, combining online education with hands-onexperience in diagnostic imaging. Corewell Health Dearborn Hospital isverified as a Level II trauma center and accredited by the JointCommission as a primary stroke center. The hospital is also knownfor clinical excellence and innovation in the fields oforthopedics, neurosciences, women’s health, heart and vascular andcancer care. Scope of work Under general supervision and accordingto established policies and procedures performs diagnostic CT examsutilizing appropriate imaging equipment. Technologists mustdemonstrate good clinical skills and provide the best possibleimages for interpretation while applying ALARA principles ofradiation protection. Overview: – This is a paid apprenticeship model which is a 16-week programthat combines related online education through the ASRT, and on thejob learning at Corewell Health. – Completion of this program satisfies the ARRT 16-creditStructured Education Requirements for CT. – After successful completion of all 12 modules of the program,participants will receive 16 CE credits and a document from theASRT (American Society of Radiologic Technologists) recognizingtheir achievement. – Program includes requirement for a 1-year commitment as a CT Tech(at a .5 FTE status or higher) with Corewell Health that will beginupon entering a CT Technologist position.
