The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dental clinic, providing exceptional support to both our patients and dental professionals. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology and infection control practices, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Duties Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring that all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available. Take digital dental radiographs (X-rays) and photos (intraoral)while adhering to safety protocols. Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and treatment plans, in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care, fostering a positive patient experience. Manage sterilization of instruments and equipment, ensuring adherence to infection control standards. Utilize dental systems such as Dentrix for patient management and record keeping. Support pediatric dentistry practices by providing compassionate care tailored to younger patients. Skills Proficiency in dental terminology and medical terminology is essential for effective communication within the clinic. Familiarity with infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff. Experience with dental systems, particularly Dentrix, is highly desirable for managing patient records efficiently. Previous experience in a dental clinic setting is preferred, including exposure to family dentistry practices. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to maintain accurate records and manage multiple tasks effectively.
