This position offers the opportunity to work with a small team of educators and community programs to inspire and guide at risk high school students towards success. As a program of the Nashua Adult Learning Center, Inc. Clearway High School’s mission is to transform the lives of individuals and families by providing education, job training, and support services so that all community members can reach their full potential. Clearway High School is a non-public alternative school, accepting student referrals from local school districts and is recognized as such by the New Hampshire Department of Education. Clearway serves just under 70 students in grades 9-12 and specializes in providing individualized and flexible learning opportunities in a supportive and compassionate environment. Position overview: The Clearway High School Director will be responsible for the overall leadership, management, and operations of the school. This includes overseeing academic programs, ensuring student achievement, leading faculty and staff development, and maintaining positive relationships with students, parents and the community. Key Responsibilities: · Lead the development and implementation of the schools educational programs and initiatives. · Oversee and evaluate the performance of faculty and staff, ensuring effective teacher and learning. · Foster a positive school culture that supports academic achievement, inclusivity, and student well-being. · Manage daily school operations, including budgeting, scheduling and facilities management. · Work collaboratively with parents, community members, and school boards to promote Clearway High School’s goals and objectives. · Provide regular communication and reports to parents, staff and school districts. · Ensure compliance with local and state educational regulations and standards. · Implement and monitor school policies, procedures and disciplinary actions. · Support professional development and growth opportunities for staff and faculty. · Lead and manage initiatives to enhance student experience of an alternative high school. Qualifications: · Master’s degree with a concentration in education, special education administration, school administrator or related field. · Previous experience with at-risk youth or human services, preferably in grades 9-12. · NH DOE Certified as Principal or Special Education Administrator.
