Fire Alarm Apprentice Certified Fire Salt Lake City, UT 84104 Summary: The Fire Apprentice at Certified Fire will complete the installation, service and maintenance of fire alarm systems for customers. Primary Responsibilities: (May perform additional duties of similar complexity within Certified Fire as required or assigned.) · Assist with installing low voltage panels, wiring and other devices · Test equipment after installation or repairs to ensure the system is working properly · Provide customers with instruction on system operation and functionality · Maintain equipment and supplies to ensure they are in good working order · Ensure clear and timely communication with Journeyman, assigned crew and other team members. · Completes work in accordance with NFPA and Company standards · Maintains a safe and secure work environment by following safe practices; following all job site safety requirements and keeping security information confidential. · Provide any PPE that is not issued by the company · Accurately record all hours spent on jobs worked. This may include using a time clock to clock in and out for shifts, and/or tracking time spent on each job site. · Engages in self-directed and/or guided training to improve skills and progress towards becoming a master fire alarm technician.
