Job Duties:

Helping with installation of water based fire sprinkler systems, including start up through final testing
Follow verbal and written instruction, read and understand complex construction blueprints, diagrams and
specifications used in installation activities
Carry/move equipment and tools weighing up to 40 pounds. Perform work in unusual and sometimes difficult
positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding and high lift equipment up to 40 feet or more
Ability to work in a variety of environments, such as temperatures over 100 degrees, cold temperatures,
confined spaces, etc.
Maintain a clean and safe work area. Pick up and properly dispose of all trash associated with assigned work
Wear appropriate safety equipment as required, including hats and shoes
Work alternate shifts or weekends to meet customer installation requirements
Perform duties in accordance with company’s safety policy
Perform other duties as requested
Daily submission of required paperwork requested

Job Requirements:

Must possess customer oriented interpersonal skills
Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills
Must possess strong organizational skills
Must have a strong mechanical aptitude
Ability to exercise effective time management skills (prioritize, work on a time line)
Ability to visually inspect and service sprinkler and backflow systems
Ability to recognize alarm sights and sounds
Ability to understand and interpret industry codes and standards
Ability to effectively use a Sprinkler Pipe Threader
Ability to effectively use backflow tester, pipe wrench, various lifts and common pipe fitting tools
Ability to safely and effectively use general hand tools and power tools
Capable of using various Arial lifts and boom trucks
Ability to quickly troubleshoot problems.
Ability to manage competing demands and frequent changes in a fast paced work environment.
Proficient verbal and written English language skills
Willingness to pursue Tradesman and/or Journeyman’s licenses upon completion of requirements
Plumbing/pipefitting experience and/or Plumber’s apprentice license preferred
Electrical experience preferred
Fire Alarm trainee license and/or OSHA 10 certification preferred
Ability to operate backhoe and/or excavator is preferred

Must have a valid driver’s license.
