What You’ll Do As a Fire Sprinkler Apprentice, you’ll gain hands-on experience while working alongside experienced technicians. This is a full-time, entry-level position. Your responsibilities will include: Installing, repairing, and maintaining fire sprinkler systems Reading and following plans and blueprints Inspecting systems for proper installation and performance Transporting and carrying materials and pipe Following OSHA and MSHA safety standards Requirements: What You Bring No fire sprinkler experience required—just a willingness to learn and work hard Experience using hand and power tools (pipe cutters, saws, drills, etc.) Mechanically inclined, with an interest in how things work Comfortable reading or learning to read blueprints or technical drawings Previous experience in plumbing, construction, or related trades is a plus Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record Ability to pass a background check and drug screening (pre-employment and random) Clear communication skills in English Flexibility to work varying hours, including occasional overnight travel and on-call shifts Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 70 lbs without assistance Comfortable working on ladders, scaffolding, and in confined spaces Able to stand, kneel, crouch, or stoop for long periods Indoor and outdoor work environments What We Offer Industry training and hands-on mentorship Medical, dental, and vision insurance (with HSA match) 401(k) with company match Paid time off and holidays $50,000 company-paid life insurance Opportunities for growth within a stable and growing company Join Our Team At State Fire, your work keeps people safe.
