Work Duties
Strategic Work
· Maintaining standard processes and procedures.
· Work in conjunction with the Service Manager for installation.
· Carrying out functions in the Service Department.
· Adhere to company policies and procedures.
· Maintain a clean and orderly work truck and work space.
· Always dress appropriately and upkeep personal hygiene.
Tactical Work
· Load and unload stock for delivery and installation.
· Inspect all glass and clean thoroughly before installation.
· Install all types of Service related projects.
· You are responsible to have appropriate paperwork for the day.
· Fill out and maintain job progress books.
Responsibilities
This position is responsible for the success of Residential and Commercial service related jobs. This position is responsible for proper installation practices and is dedicated to customer service. Customer satisfaction and realizing the expected profitability in the Service Department are the ultimate responsibilities.
Skills
- Valid and current driver’s license
- Proven ability to manage projects with a variety of products on all sizes of projects in the new and remodel market segments.
- Ability to relate to customers and uphold customer service at all costs.
- A mechanical aptitude with a general understanding of application engineering and the building sciences.
- Has demonstrated an appreciation for high quality, professionalism, profitability and above average performance communicated by personal example.
- Leading by example in work ethic, communications and attitude.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Accustomed to working in fast moving environments providing accurate and timely information to a high standard.
- Supporting company mission, vision and core values.
- Professional appearance and personality.
- Must be self-motivated, energetic and results oriented with a high level of work intensity and a bias for action.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to insure scheduled deadlines are met.
- All employees are expected to be cross-trained in more than their immediate job responsibilities so they can be utilized in periods of vacation, illness and heavy workload.
Qualifications
Companywide Standards
- All work will be performed in accordance with all government laws, regulations, ordinances, and court rulings in those jurisdictions in which the company operates
- All work will be performed according to company policies and standards inherent in all position Agreements, system action plans, employee manuals, ongoing policy memoranda, and facilities and dress codes
- Client and company information will be held as strictly confidential outside the company.
- All telephone calls, both internal and external, will be returned within one business day and within two hours whenever possible.
- Manager will be notified in an exception report of any issues to be resolved or deadlines that cannot be met by reporting person, prior to the due date.
- All innovation will be quantified, tested, and improved, then documented for routine implementation (i.e. well orchestrated once proven).
- Problems with any system must be brought to the attention of manager in an exception report so the system can be improved, within the structure of the operations manual.
- All policy memoranda indicating changes in policy and/or procedure will be stored in each employee’s operations manual, until the time an updated procedure is provided.
- Employees will provide staff assistance as requested; each employee may be asked from time to time to cover other areas of accountability and/or departments.
