Handy Man/Technician Apprentice Tidewater Construction Group, LLC Pelham, NC 27311 Job Overview We are seeking a quick learner and hard working individual with an entry level handy man skill set to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a good work ethic and a good attitude. This role requires a proactive individual who can work alongside and assist a senior technician on various projects. Willing to train the right candidate! Some travel is required between Virginia, North and South Carolina. Home base is in Pelham, NC. Access to company vehicle and tools is available as needed. Most travel expenses are provided and/or reimbursed. If you desire to learn the trades such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, drywall and much more, this is the job for you! Two week probationary period required to make sure the job is a good fit for the candidate AND the candidate is a good fit for the company. Duties Assist Senior Technician to perform general maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical work, painting, carpentry and various others. Help execute projects with attention to detail and quality. Assist Senior Technician in fabricating and/or repairing items as needed, ensuring compliance with safety standards. Learn to utilize schematics to troubleshoot issues related to specific tasks. Maintain provided tools and equipment in good working condition. Qualifications Desire to learn about and perform maintenance/handy person services or a related field. Strong ability to take direction and quick learner of various systems. Able to be proficient in using tools and equipment safely and efficiently. Excellent problem-solving skills with a logical approach to tasks.
