OBJECTIVE The primary objective of this role is to support the herb mix staff and formulations team in a liquid manufacturing facility by ensuring all equipment is properly sanitized, set up, and broken down between product runs. ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES The role requires strict adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to maintain high standards of hygiene and product quality. The individual will assist in the preparation and mixing of ingredients, support the formulation of new products, and perform routine maintenance and quality control checks to ensure efficient and compliant production processes. Assisting Herb Mix Staff Support the herb mix team by preparing set and break down procedures between production runs. Sanitizing Equipment Clean and sanitize manufacturing equipment, including mixers, tanks, and utensils, to ensure they meet hygiene standards. Document cleaning procedures and maintaining cleaning records to comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Ensure the production area is clean and organized at all times. Set Up and Break Down Assemble and disassemble equipment before and after production runs. Assist in ensuring all components are properly cleaned and sometimes assisting in correctly installing equipment before starting a new batch. Clean and store equipment properly after production runs. Following GMP Practices Adhere to GMP guidelines to ensure product safety and quality. Participate in regular training sessions to stay updated on GMP standards. Conduct routine checks to ensure sanitation compliance with GMP during production. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Previous experience working in a food manufacturing environment helpful Ability to understand and follow QA/QC compliance procedures, protocol, and GMP practices Attention to Detail: Ensuring all equipment is properly sanitized and set up correctly. Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues during production Teamwork: Collaborating effectively with the herb mix staff and formulations team. Technical Skills: Understanding of basic manufacturing equipment. Compliance: Knowledge of GMP and other regulatory standards. WORK CONDITIONS Must be able to wear a fume and particulate respirator at times and pass OSHA respiratory testing. Herb Mix Staff employees are required to wear cGMP PPE including but not limited to lab coats, gloves, and shoe coverings. Beard nets are required for any noticeable facial hair, no piercings are allowed in the clean room where job duties will be performed. Standing, twisting, bending, and reaching continuously throughout the work shift. Frequently pulling, pushing, and lifting up to 25 pounds. Sometimes working in a hot, cold, or loud environment.
