About the Position We are seeking a Low Voltage Apprentice Technician to join our team. The position is for an entry level technology enthusiast with a strong work ethic, professional demeanor, passion for technology, and who is looking to start a career, not just a job. No experience is required, just a good attitude. Successful candidates will be hungry, humble, and smart, with impeccable attention to detail. This position will be responsible for assisting our technical team for all our Audio, Video, Security, Networking, and Lighting projects for both homes and commercial spaces. Responsibilities include: Running low voltage cabling in new construction and retrofit construction projects. Tasks involved include hanging low voltage enclosures, drilling cable paths, pulling assorted low voltage cables, and properly labeling cables at all end points and head end locations. Installations will be supervised by our Lead Technician and Project Manager. Terminating low voltage cables and installing equipment during the trim-out phase. Tasks involved include terminating Cat6 and RG6 cables, installing architectural speakers, installing network cameras and wireless access points, and other home and office technology products. Assisting the lead technician during final installation. Tasks involved include hanging display technologies, building and wiring equipment racks, testing, and commissioning technology systems. Executing assorted projects as directed by the rest of the team. Direct reporting to the General Manager, Director of Operations, Project Manager, and CEO regarding all things technical and client satisfaction. Being self-motivated and confident when interacting with clients, meeting deadlines, and executing projects and service requests. To hang out with us, you need to have⦠A strong desire to learn all about residential systems integration including audio, video, lighting, shades, climate control, security, CCTV, telephone and computer networks An ability to learn to setup, configure, calibrate, commission, and troubleshoot equipment A basic awareness of some or all of the leading home automation vendors (Crestron, Control4, Savant, Lutron) A work, education, and hobby history that points to some technical aptitude. Candidates from the music production, audio engineering, video production, car audio, interior design, IOT, security, and telecommunications industries may find they have many overlapping skills A driver’s license Incredible communication skills with both clients and team members Meticulous organizational skills An ability to adapt to the needs of an ever-changing industry A willingness to be flexible to the needs of a small team A dedication to serving the client and the team. A willingness to work towards a WA State Journey Electrical License (EL06) and/or Oregon Limited Energy System (LEA) license.
