Summary
Full time machinist apprentice needed for local fabrication company. Hours are Monday-Friday 7a-3:30p. Pay is $16-$20/hr depending on experience. Skills and Responsibilities: Operating and maintaining machine tools: Machinists operate and maintain various machine tools, including CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines, to produce precision parts. Reading and interpreting blueprints: They interpret technical drawings and blueprints to determine the required machining operations. Setting up and programming machines: Machinists set up and program machines, select appropriate tools, and determine cutting speeds and feeds. Precision work: Machinists are known for their precision and attention to detail, ensuring parts meet strict specifications. Troubleshooting and problem-solving: They troubleshoot and resolve problems with machinery and equipment, and perform routine maintenance. Quality control: They inspect finished parts for quality and accuracy, using various precision measuring instruments.
