Job Purpose: The MSA apprentice will shadow current auditors as part-time employees as the auditors conduct audits for clients of the certification body employer. An auditor is responsible for ensuring the integrity of a comprehensive client audit and providing support on various auditing matters and projects to the certification body employer.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities: MSA Apprentice
 
Carry out audits for clients alongside company auditors
Produce and submit a full audit report on each audit undertaken
Produce audit summary reports for each audit undertaken
 Ensure any non-conformities are listed on the appropriate non-conformities log
 Engage in continuous knowledge development regarding each certification’s requirements, recommended best practices, tools, techniques and performance standards
 Ability to manipulate large amounts of data and to compile detailed reports
High attention to audit detail and excellent analytical skills
Project co-ordination or assistance experience
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
 Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to relate to people at all levels
Ability to manage assigned tasks in an assertive, efficient and timely manner
Exceptional interpersonal skills, demonstrating professionalism in all dealings
Enjoy working in a busy environment
A spirit of co-operation and a positive ‘can do’ attitude
Ability to effectively prioritize, excellent organizational skills
Ability to multi-task, use initiative and to work well under pressure / to deadlines
 Personable, but professional
Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint

QUALIFICATIONS FOR APPRENTICESHIP
Applicants will meet the following minimum qualifications. These qualification standards, and the score required on any standard for admission to the applicant pool, must be directly related to job performance, as shown by a statistical relationship between the score required for admission to the pool and performance in the apprenticeship program:
A.        Age
Minimum qualifications required by the sponsor for persons entering the apprenticeship program, with an eligible starting age not less than 18 years.
B.        Education
A post-secondary credential is required. Applicant must provide an official transcript(s) for education. 
C.        Physical
Applicants will be physically capable of performing the essential functions of the apprenticeship program, with or without a reasonable accommodation, and without posing a direct threat to the health and safety of the individual or others.     
D.        Others
        Applicants must have one year of work experience.
