This is a 4 year apprenticeship where the apprentices go to class 2 Saturdays a month and are placed on job sites for 2,000 OJT hours per year. Each year of advancement includes raises in salary and benefits.

Responsibilities

Apprentices must attend class 2 days a month and attend other classes such as OSHA- 10 & 30 hr. courses, Asbestos Abatement 32 hr. course, 16 hr. scaffold building course, Lead abatement course and others. On the job site the apprentices are required to move materials, assist journeymen with tasks associated with our trade.

Skills

Basic math skills are a must. Everything else, we will teach you.

Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years old. Have reliable transportation. Have a valid state issued ID. Have a high school diploma or GED. Be able to pass a drug screen.

Security Clearance Requirements

Most job sites do a background check. Felonies will be an issue for most sites. Some sites do an extensive background check because of the type facility (Government, Nuclear and others).
