Ophthalmic Technician – WILL TRAIN 2.7 2.7 out of 5 stars 2827 North Clarkson Street, Fremont, NE 68025 Midwest Eye Care is looking for a Ophthalmic Assistant/Ophthalmic Technician at our Fremont location (2827 N. Clarkson St) and Omaha locations(13500 California Street / 4353 Dodge Street). Full-time Hours – 8:00am – 5:00pm Monday thru Friday In this role as Ophthalmic Assistant/Ophthalmic Technician: · We provide the training so that you are prepared to do all requirements of the position. · Review and document eye and medical history. · Perform a variety of routine tests including intraocular pressures, visual fields, OCT, fundus photography and refracting. · Dilate eyes for exams. · Assist the physician during diagnostic and minor surgical procedures, including instrumentation, sterile preparations and documentation. · Prepare and position patient for diagnostic tests and procedures. · Assist the physician with patient education pertaining to the treatment prescribed. · Answer phones and return patient phone calls. · Record patient charges for billing department. Outstanding candidates will have: · Ability to occasionally travel between offices and during the work day to Outreach locations in Iowa and Nebraska · Excellent verbal and written communication skills. · Analytical and problem-solving skills. · Prior customer facing experience demonstrating a professional appearance and conduct · The ability to learn systems and software quickly. · Possess excellent computer skills, and be willing to work as a team player displaying a positive outlook to others. · This position requires a minimum of a High School Diploma or GED. · Associates or Bachelor’s degree is preferred but NOT required.
