This entry-level position is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in the plumbing industry. The Plumbing Helper will assist licensed plumbers in various tasks on construction sites, ensuring that plumbing systems are installed and maintained according to specifications. This role requires a willingness to learn and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Responsibilities Assist plumbers with the installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems. Read and interpret schematics and blueprints to understand plumbing layouts. Use basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to plumbing tasks. Operate power tools and other equipment safely and efficiently. Help with pipe threading, welding, and other construction plumbing tasks. Maintain a clean and organized work area on the construction site. Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. Communicate effectively with team members and report any issues or concerns. Specific Responsibilities: Operate some equipment and some hand digging as necessary to repair plumbingPerform minor to moderately complex service work on plumbing systemsPerform some maintenance and repair on equipment and vehiclesIdentity proper materials and quantities for new and existing projectsKeep company vehicle and equipment properly serviced, clean, and in good working order and condition Experience Basic knowledge of construction plumbing practices is preferred but not required. Familiarity with schematics and the ability to plumb, build, or weld is advantageous. Experience using power tools in a field service or construction site setting is a plus. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately. A willingness to learn new skills and techniques related to plumbing.
