We’re just built to be better. We are a great company. We are seeking a Potholer (Hydrovac and Air) VacTruck Operator – Class A CDL (SUE Technician 3) to join our San Diego, CA team! Come join us! Job responsibilities include but are not limited to: Safely operating a vacuum truck to uncover underground utilities. Communicating effectively with coworkers, Project Managers, and Leadership to ensure smooth, safe operations. Operating essential tools such as jackhammers, concrete saws, and vacuum hoses. Setting up and maintaining traffic control as instructed to keep worksites safe. Completing paperwork and record-keeping tasks accurately. Performing basic field measurements and simple math. Traveling throughout California, with occasional overnight stays of up to two weeks. Keeping vehicles, equipment, and worksites safe and clean. Managing time efficiently and adhering to schedules. Working outdoors in a range of weather conditions. Designating underground utilities. Minimum requirements: Minimum 3 years of experience as an operator of Hydro Vac and/or VacTruck Owning a commercial Class A Driver’s License with a clean driving record. Willingness to travel to job sites across California Able to manage time efficiently and adhering to schedules A respectful team player Initiative to go above and beyond the requirement Working outdoors in a range of weather conditions Technical requirements: Proficient in safely operating HydroVac and/or VacTruck to uncover underground utilities. Physical capability to lift 60 lbs. multiple times a day and use a 90 lb. jackhammer. Completing paperwork and record-keeping tasks accurately using manual or digital devices. Familiarity with Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) scope of works and a knack for using technology effectively is a PLUS. Other miscellaneous qualities: Traveling throughout California, with occasional overnight stays of up to two weeks. Team player Ready to be randomly drug tested as a compliance with OSHA Willing to learn and ready to teach new skills. Compensation: $33 – $47 hourly The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the state’s law.
