COLTENE operates production facilities in Switzerland, Germany, Canada, France and the USA, as well as a worldwide sales network with its own representatives and distribution partners. Dentists and dental technicians worldwide rely on COLTENE products, both for conventional, as well as implant-based treatment and dental reconstruction. We are looking for candidates to join our Repair Technician Apprenticeship Program. Our program is certified by the Ohio Department of Apprenticeship and Training. We partner with Stark State Technical College to provide the required classroom instruction. Apprentices are employed as full-time employees and are paid for the on-the-job training as well as class time portions of the program. Upon successful completion of the program an apprentice qualifies as a Repair Technician with the following duties and responsibilities. Duties and responsibilities Contribute to a culture of learning, collaboration, and self-development. Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and perform acceptance testing on devices such as curing lights, ultrasonic cleaners, scalers, sterilizers, and instrument washers. Work with electrical and electronic components, mechanical systems, tuning and calibration, and electrical safety equipment. Interface with Quality and Engineering departments to provide necessary information regarding faulty units and root cause of failures. Develop technical writing and communication skills for investigation reports and technical support over the phone. Learn about and perform job functions within an FDA regulated facility.
