Summary As an Optician at LensCrafters, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional eye care services to our patients. Located in a dynamic environment, you will assist customers in selecting the right eyewear solutions while ensuring they receive the highest standard of optical care. Responsibilities Assist customers in selecting eyeglasses and contact lenses that meet their needs and preferences. Conduct eye examinations and interpret prescriptions to provide accurate fitting. Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, including HIPAA standards. Maintain accurate patient records and manage medical billing processes as needed. Provide education to patients regarding eyewear options and proper lens care. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. Stay updated on the latest optical technology and trends to provide informed recommendations. Requirements Valid optician license or certification as required by state regulations. Strong knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology, and optical products. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members. Experience with medical billing and coding is a plus but not mandatory. Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment while maintaining attention to detail.
