The Sourcing Specialist will report to the Sourcing Team Manager as part of the Sourcing Group within Procurement. The successful candidate will partner with other Sourcing professionals to identify market and economic trend opportunities and execute against them to continually improve the value derived from third party relationships. Primary focus is to align with the business lines in a way that generates a positive impact to them in Citizens Bank is seeking candidates with technology experience for the role of Sourcing Commodity Specialist. This position will support various business lines in the technology space, including contracting and sourcing of existing and new IT hardware and software to enable our co-workers to deliver a competitive product offerings to our customers. The Sourcing Commodity Specialist will report to the Sourcing Team Manager as part of Strategic Sourcing Group within Procurement. The successful candidate will partner with other Sourcing professionals to identify market and economic trend opportunities and execute against them to continually improve the value derived from third party relationships. The Sourcing Commodity Specialist will exhibit business acumen with a proven track record for executing strategic sourcing projects to take advantage of savings opportunities across the Bank as well as a strong grasp of Technology Sourcing. Primary focus is to align with the business lines in a way that generates a positive impact to them in achieving their business goals, while optimizing value to the overall organization.

Primary responsibilities include

+ Contribution to comprehensive commodity and sourcing strategies for strategic/complex negotiations. Ability to negotiate, including contract red lining for all types of corporate transactions using an Agile contracting framework.

+ Working with Sourcing Commodity Lead by performing market analysis, benchmark analysis and spend analysis for assigned commodity projects.

+ Working with Line of Business partners to establish specifications for product/service being purchased; Lead or facilitate the supplier selection and negotiation process; put in place contracts for strategic purchases.

+ Maintaining close relations with the industry supply base and industry experts with the objective to develop innovative solutions to complex problems.

Qualifications

+ 1-3 years of technology procurement experience in sourcing and contract negotiation, preferable in highly regulated industry (Financial Services preferred), including managed services contracts, software, end-user hardware and SaaS deals.

+ Experience in sourcing engagements using best practice 7-step sourcing process (or equivalent) with negotiation skills.

+ Strong project management and analytics skills, with experience in root cause analysis

+ Knowledge of Ariba, Oracle, and advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint

Education, Certifications and/or Other Professional Credentials

+ Associates Degree or Relevant experience

Hours & Work Schedule

+ Hours per Week: 40 M-F
