Summary
The MIL Corporation is looking for Summer Technical Hire (Engineering Technician, Apprentice) candidates to support one or more projects in new and innovative technical areas onsite at our Lexington Park, MD location.
Those filling these positions will work with practicing engineers to gain valuable experience in various technologies and/or project management skills. These positions run through the Summer 2025 break, with a possibility for continuance during school breaks.
This position currently requires an on-site schedule, with 5 days on-site. Schedule is subject to change based on company/contract requirements.
Responsibilities
Perform various engineering and technical support tasks
Review, update and maintain electronic documents
Potential work areas include engineering department, project management department, on-site government support, warehousing, production, and reception

Required Qualifications
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Good verbal and written communication skills
Desired Qualifications
Proficient in use of applicable tools based on major subject area (e.g. CAD, MATLAB, etc.)
Engineering related coursework
Education
High school senior or rising senior with relevant STEM related coursework.

Compensation
The SCA (Service Contract Act) role at The MIL Corporation is subject to the regulations and guidelines set forth by the U.S. Department of Labor. As an SCA position, it is classified as a service contract and is subject to specific wage determinations and benefit requirements mandated by the government.
The compensation and benefits for the SCA role at The MIL Corporation will be in accordance with the prevailing wage rates and benefits specified by the Department of Labor for the specific job classification and location. The current rate is $18.00 per hour. Final salary for this position is determined based on factors such as individual qualifications, education, experience, and contractual limitations.
