PHYSICAL: See; hear; use both hands and both feet while safely climbing ladders or onto equipment. Ability to use both pick and shovel without constraints. Ability to use basic tools effectively. Ability to safely operate various kinds of powered equipment including dump truck, backhoe, wacker-packer, jackhammer, etc. Ability to lift up to 100 pounds. OTHER: Possess a valid Arkansas Driver’s License and successfully obtain an Arkansas Commercial Driver’s License within six months of employment. Must possess a Grade IV Water Distribution License at the end of three-year apprenticeship. Must live within a 30-minute response time of the intersection of Harkrider and Oak Streets in Conway. WORKING CONDITIONS: Must be able to work occasional overtime. Must be able to work in all kinds of weather conditions. Upon completion of three-year apprenticeship, must be able to work after-hours “trouble” calls.
