The Ohio Laborers’ Training and Apprenticeship Program is the training arm for LIUNA, the Laborers’ International Union of North America, and the Laborers’ District Council of Ohio. We offer the best new member training and continuing education for the construction workforce by connecting union laborer applicants to local construction contractors and providing no additional cost career training.  
  
What We Offer  
  
We offer 4,000 hours of paid on-the-job training and 432 hours of classroom training to teach you to become a professional union construction laborer at no additional cost. We provide earn while you learn apprenticeships opportunities in the following construction specialties: Heavy Highway, Masonry, Building, Environmental, Utility, Deconstruction/Demolition, and Landscaping.  
  
Job Functions  
  
Ohio construction laborers perform a variety of tasks that include working with concrete, asphalt, landscaping, piping, mason tending, deconstruction, and utilities. The specific tasks performed by a construction laborer are dependent on their contractor’s construction specialty.
