Pharmacy Technician Apprenticeship Program
Covenant Health Pharmacy is offering a Registered Pharmacy Technician Apprenticeship Program, approved by the U.S. Department of Labor. This program provides hands-on training, mentorship, and the opportunity to earn while you learn. Apprentices will assist pharmacists with prescription processing, medication dispensing, inventory management, and patient care while gaining the skills needed to become a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT).

Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities:
As a Pharmacy Technician Apprentice, you will:

Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications.

Learn prescription processing, medication labeling, and inventory management.

Support patients by answering basic medication-related questions under supervision.

Gain hands-on experience in insurance verification and prior authorizations.

Participate in compounding and specialized medication preparation.

Follow pharmacy regulations and safety protocols.

Complete structured training to prepare for the Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) exam.

Qualifications
Qualifications/Requirements:
High school diploma or GED (required)
Strong interest in pharmacy and healthcare careers
Ability to complete the Registered Pharmacy Technician Apprenticeship Program
Willingness to obtain Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification upon program completion
Must be detail-oriented, reliable, and eager to learn
Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs

Must pass a background check in compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations Drug screening is required before employment
Compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy and confidentiality
Must be eligible to register with the State Board of Pharmacy
