Green Mountain is seeking a dependable Tower Technician Apprentice to add to our climbing crews responsible for the installation and maintenance of wireless communications equipment. Green Mountain serves the New England area and unlike other companies in the industry, our employees are not away from home for weeks at a time. This person must be a self-starter, team player and looking to grow in their field while at Green Mountain.
Responsibilities
· Installation and maintenance of wireless equipment.
· Climbing of towers and other structures.
· Use of hand and power tools.
Skills
Prior experience using hand and power tools is helpful.
Ability and understanding of safe work practices.
Effective communication skills.
Ability to work in varying weather conditions.
Qualifications
Educational Requirement: Apprentice must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Physical Requirement: Lift Test and D.O.T Medical Exam
Valid driver's License is required.
Security Clearance Requirements
Successful candidates will be required to submit to a criminal background check, driving record check and are subject to drug and alcohol screenings.
Eligibility to Work Requirements
An apprentice must be at least 18 years of age, except where a higher age is required by law, and must be employed to learn an apprentice occupation.
