Job Description: We are hiring for a Dry Press Set-Up 1 Operator: Ideal candidatewill operate compaction equipment, performing product inspection asrequired; understands fundamental inspection techniques includinggeneral knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerance. Essential Functions: Performs simple, routine set-ups on a variety of compaction andother equipment within the department. Utilizes mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot and diagnose equipmentmalfunctions; engaging senior employee, lead, or supervisor¿sassistance when necessary to correct malfunction. Operates and adjusts machinery, making basic process adjustmentsuntil target parameters have been achieved. Understands basic principles of properties of powder compaction,material characterization and their impacts on production. Responsible for maintenance and upkeep of compaction tooling andequipment. Understands and can interpret blueprint information andthree-dimensional concepts. Is proficient at using the manufacturing computer system toaccurately transfer parts, scrap, and/or any other transactionsnecessary to maintain and record the required data. Position Skill sets: The following skill sets, if not possessed,will be acquired thru on the job training. In process inspection. Shrinkage control. Material handling. Kiln unloading. 2, 5, 10/15, 30 and 60 ton single and multi level setups. Statistical Process Control (SPC) Hours for both shifts: 5:00am-3:30pm 3:20pm-11:20pm
