Barbers Beauty Associates Group LLC is seeking a highly motivated and proactive makeup artist to join our multiemployer company made up of separate businesses spanning public relations specialists, agents and business managers of artists and athletes, producers and directors, entertainment, and more.

We are seeking applicants who will join our community for theatrical and performance makeup artists who will use makeup, prosthetics, and other techniques to enhance the appearance of performers and create character. They may consult with directors, lighting staff, and performers to determine the right effect. Including, determining the look for performance artists and may work in a variety of settings, including theaters, opera houses, film and television studios, dance companies, cruise lines, theme parks, and event production companies.
Responsibilities
· Execute makeup looks styled to an approved design for performers of events.
· Cooperate with lead artist or director to achieve the desired end effect when applying makeup.
· Work closely with a variety of performers in the application of makeup during show run, rehearsals, preparation, and show changes.
· Read entertainment department look books to ascertain the appropriate materials and the look required.
· Ensure makeup looks are photo ready and well-applied in day & night settings.
· Assist fellow team members with looks & quick changes during run of show.
· Assist in touch ups during events & ensure quality of the overall product throughout.
· Document specific looks by taking photos or writing makeup sheets that can be referred to for future use.
· Perform other tasks and carry out projects as assigned by the lead makeup artist or director.
· Proper clean up, repack, & storage of all makeup & related items at the end of each show.
· Makeup artists may be asked to use & apply prosthetics or have knowledge of SFX techniques to achieve a desired look for some events. (specified role)
· Makeup artists may be asked to use an airbrush, supply their own equipment, & have knowledge of airbrush techniques and materials to achieve a desired look for some events.
· Maintain all assigned performer make-up for shows/events.
· Apply make-up in the timeframe given.
· Maintain performance standards at the highest level of professional expectations
· Apply and remove make-up for Entertainment performers/associates.
· Work with members of leadership and production team to deliver vision of project
· Manage time and projects in a timely manner to meet production deadlines
· Apply makeup to enhance or alter the appearance of people appearing in productions such as movies.
