Summary
Auto Body and Paint Technician Helper / Apprentice Straight Line RV and Boat Phoenix, AZ 85043 Straight Line RV & Boat, a family owned RV Collision Repair and Paint Shop is in need of a Body and Paint Technician Helper. Experience in the RV or auto body industry is preferred but not required. We hire for attitude and ability/willingness to be trained first. While we primarily work on RV’s, we also work on boats, fire trucks, buses, semi trucks and the occasional regular car or truck. A successful candidate must have a valid Driver’s License, a good driving record and have excellent communication skills. The position is full time 7:00am – 4:00pm Monday – Friday with overtime as needed. Compensation depends on experience. Job Description: The RV Repair Helper position is intended to be a gateway position for someone who would like to work toward becoming an RV Body & Paint Technician. The helper position will assist the RV repair technician with their daily tasks while learning the trade. The position is also responsible for supporting management and coworkers by completing some general cleaning and prepping responsibilities. Position Requirements: Preference for some experience in the automotive or RV field Must have strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship Ability to interact professionally with customers Must be willing to accept work direction from multiple parties and work as part of a team Must have and maintain a valid state driver’s license Predictable and reliable attendance required High school diploma or equivalent Previous Jobs & References Required Must be willing to submit to a background check, DMV screen, and drug screen Physical Demands/Working Conditions: Periodic lifting and carrying objects over 50 pounds. Reaching above and below shoulder level. Extended periods of standing, kneeling, bending, squatting, stooping, pushing and pulling. Manual dexterity and eye/hand coordination to operate equipment. May be exposed to repetitive tasks involving hand and arm motion. May be required to inspect/clean vehicles outdoors in inclement weather. Must be willing and able to wear proper protective equipment (ie.
