Hourly Wage 

ISS offers a competitive compensation package including Benefits, Paid Time Off, and a starting hourly salary of $19.61 per hour – $19.78 per hour.

Key Purpose  

The Assistant Maintenance Technician position is responsible for performing diversified duties to assist in the installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintain facilities according to safety, and uses predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives. Maintenance duties are dependent upon customer jobs, requests, and contracts.

Take direction and respond to supervision 
Communicate with the Maintenance Technician, supervisor, co-workers, managers, and customers professionally 
Support shift lead in completing punch-list items 
Use proper personal protective equipment   
Present a professional appearance and conduct 
Understand customer service and satisfaction

Ideal Candidate Experience  

    

High school graduate, certificate in trade school or equivalent work experience      
1-2 years’ related work experience 
Must be able to effectively communicate (oral and written) with all employees, contractors, and vendors 
Availability to be on call and/or work overtime as needed       
Plumbing experience, a plus  
Painting experience a plus  
HVAC experience is a plus   
Electrical experience is a plus  
Experience with Building Management Systems is a plus         
Self-starter and team player        
Ability to prioritize and manage multi-functional tasks     
Ability to work quickly and effectively under pressure 
Ability to use standard powered and non-powered tools 
Forklift qualified preferred 

Key Accountabilities  

Assists with maintaining the building
Monitors and replaces light bulbs in all assigned facilities, as needed      
Performs basic plumbing and electrical work and determines when further attention is required     
Performs other maintenance duties as assigned by the Building Maintenance Supervisor 

Physical Demands & Work Environment  

While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to stand for long periods of time, walk, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch/crawl and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds     
Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus 

 

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, unsafe places; fumes/airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions; risk of electrical shock and vibration 
Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions 
The noise level in the work environment is frequently loud
