Responsible to inspect, maintain and repair all equipment, property and buildings associated with Company operations; specializing in electrical control and power distribution systems. Works on electrical power distribution wiring and components associated with plant building structures. Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems associated with the Company’s machinery. Is accountable to deliver equipment, property and buildings that are fabricated, maintained and repaired 100% in compliance with applicable safety and operating standards. Responsible to maintain all documents, records and files to support Maintenance department activities. Position is responsible for individual safety as well as the safety of others working in the area.
Responsibilities
· Adhere to Safety, Health and Environmental (SH&E) policies and procedures. Responsible for the completion of Hot Work, Line Break, Lock, Tag & Try, contractor work permits and other SH&E permits. Maintain a questioning attitude to ensure a safe work environment.
· Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions. Complete necessary forms, charts, etc. to document the process. Respond appropriately to process variations.
· Ability to safely work with hazardous materials.
· Daily inspection of equipment. Troubleshoot equipment as needed and perform preventative maintenance.
· Ability to work in a team environment and move to where the work is required. Train co-workers on job tasks as required.
· Perform housekeeping. Operate forklift and other motorized transportation equipment as necessary.
· Communicate the status of the operation to the shift following. Report to work station on time in order to receive operation status from previous shift.
· Participate in safety efforts (VPP, JHAs, etc.) and CIP teams
· Perform electrical and instrumentation, maintenance, repair and calibration.

· Ability to read & follow single line, elementary, PLC, I/O & schematic wiring diagrams
Qualifications
- Associate of Science Degree in Electrical Technology or Electrical Journeyman’s License. Responsible for the maintenance of all plant equipment and buildings to include the following:
- Knowledge of the current NEC regulations (NFPA 70)
- Power distribution systems, electrical panel boards, and electrical switchgear for single and poly phase systems up to and including 480 volts.
- Motor control systems; AC and DC drives, motor starters, and motor control centers
- Electrical instrumentation and componentry to include temperature, pressure, and flow sensors/transducers
- Understanding of 4-20ma and low voltage feedback control
- Relay logic, and PLC logic with basic programming skills
- Demonstrated skills in the maintenance of a broad range of equipment in a heavy manufacturing environment and the identification and diagnosis of plant and equipment operating problems.
- Demonstrated skills with common hand and power tools.
- Hydraulic/pneumatic/water distribution system experience desired.
- Conduit installation experience required
- Overhead crane experience preferred.
- Experience with common PC office applications such as MS Word, Excel and MS Exchange required.
