The ideal candidate will have experience working with machinery and possess a strong mechanical aptitude. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Verify raw material you will work with are correct according to work order. Inspect steel cores for blemishes, burs, cuts or holes. Load steel cores onto winding machine. When winding is complete finish procedure by stripping insulation or soldering as necessary. Send wound cores to next work bench (pre-assembly) Responsible for Quality Control. Operate within standard operating procedures (SOP’s) and Job Safety Analysis (JSA’s). Complete daily production logs. Communicate with operators from other shifts. Clean and maintain work area. Turn off and lock out equipment when not in use. Other duties as assigned. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist mechanics and machinists in repair work. Provide on-the-job training to new employees. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS: Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent. The ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing. Performing day-to-day administrative tasks such as maintaining information files and processing paperwork. Manual dexterity required for operating machinery. Ability to lift up to 100 pounds required. WORKING CONDITIONS: Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. Work involves frequent lifting of materials and product up to 50 pounds. Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to: eye safety glasses and steel toe shoes. Loose fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted. Hair that touches the shoulder must be pinned up as not to touch the shoulder.
