We are seeking a Leather Trimming Apprentice to support our Trimming Department by assisting in the preparation of the leather components used in boot production. This role is essential to maintaining our standards of craftsmanship and ensuring consistent product quality. Key Responsibilities: Trim leather pieces according to specified patterns, removing excess materials, and rough edges. Use hand tools (e.g knives, scissors, skivers) and trimming equipment safely and accurately. Communicate any material defects or quality issues with supervisor. Assist with sorting, labeling, and organizing trimmed leather parts for the next stage of production. Maintain a clean and organized workstation. Follow all safety and quality procedures as outlined by the department. Required Qualifications: High school diploma or GED preferred but not required. Driver’s License No prior experience necessary; training will be provided. Manual dexterity and ability to use hand tools. Strong attention to detail and pride in quality craftsmanship. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. Ability to stand or walk for extended periods Use of hands, tools, or equipment as required Repetitive motion required in trimming tasks.
