Spray Technician Apprentice MatSu Customs 8800 E Palmer Wasilla Hwy, Palmer, AK 99645 Job Description Full time position available for a Shop apprentice. Applicant must have a genuine desire to learn about our company’s products and services. Must provide exceptional customer service and represent the team well. Required to take direction, maintain a clean work environment, and have a friendly, positive attitude. Mechanically inclined High school graduate or equivalent Strong work history (including good attendance and good safety record). Pass a criminal background check, driving history Be able to work overtime if needed. Demonstrates the ability to carry out specified work procedures and follow detailed written instructions to install a variety of accessories. mechanical knowledge and understanding technical direction. Experience with car body work and painting is helpful but not required. Must be a self starter, problem solver, team player as well as being able to work alone. Applicants must have good customer relation skills, the ability to learn new information, and multitask. Must be detail oriented. Must keep work areas clean and clutter free. Must provide your own quality tools, specialty tools will be provided. This is a physical job requiring you to bend, stoop, crouch, reach and lift objects exceeding 80 pounds on a regular basis. Duties and Responsibilities (include but not limited to) Help in the installation of accessories; from tonneau covers & step bars to complete suspension upgrades 12v knowledge Cleaning equipment Mask & sand vehicles for polyurea applications. Cleaning vehicles before and after service. Light fabrication. Cleaning of the shop area, bathrooms, taking out the trash etc. Shoveling snow when/if needed Hours Monday – Friday 8:30-5:30 ABOUT US… MatSu Customs is the industry leader in sprayed polymer protective coatings.
